Proud Mary Bbq in Lexington

It's a very cool place! Sits right on the river. Drinks are decently priced. Food frankly wasn't good at all. We ordered the sampler ( pulled chicken, ribs, brisket, jambalaya) none of which was good. Side dishes are served in a shot glass. The " homemade" bbq that give you tastes like cheap ketchup. We were sharing the platter and had to share the silverware, we asked for an extra set, but it was never brought to us. We sat at the bar ( it was busy) none of the 5 bartenders paid us a mind. We ended up ordering through a random server. We asked for the tab 4x throughout the course of an hour before it was given to us. I'd go back for drinks solely because it's a cool place. I wouldn't eat there again however.

Again not a fan of the mask. But restaurant ask to wear them while not at a table. We set 20ft from the kitchen out door. At least four kitchen works had no mask nor gloves. The owner himself no mask in or out of the kitchen. Myself I stay my social distance wash my hands. Side portions have gotten smaller food not as hot as it should be especially with no mask or gloves being worn in kitchen.

Great, fun atmosphere! The only downside is how busy they get when there is live music. I wish there was a way for people to order food/drinks on an app and pickup in a certain location. On slower days, we received the best service. Hayden was our server & took excellent care of us! We will definitely be back.

Great place. The most enjoyable evening that I have had in a long time. The waiters were very knowledgeable, friendly and hard working. They checked on us several times with a great attitude. The food was superb, the entertainment, the ambience, the river, watching the duck's and boats all put together made for a very enjoyable evening. First time we have been there, but definitely not the last. Thank you for a fine evening.
